Gigantic mosque will be built on the historic battlefield in Halmstad

Earlier this year it was clear that the municipality in Halmstad sells land to a new mosque building in the city. But now, history professor Dick Harrison rages because the mosque will be built on a historic Swedish battlefield – one of the most important in our history.

Via: friatider.se

In March, several media reported that Halmstad municipality sells land of over 7,000 square meters to a mosque building in Halmstad. The decision was made even though the mosque imam made homosexual statements on the internet, where he compared gayxuality with a virus.

Nevertheless, the building plans continued.

“It is impossible for us to weigh in a land sales agreement,” said Henrik Oretorp (C), chairman of the social housing committee, to SVT News Halland in March.

But now the storm continues around the mosque building.

The land at Fyllebro, where the mosque is to be built, is a very important place in Swedish history.

The battle at Fyllebro 1676 was the decisive battle during the Scandinavian war between Sweden and Denmark. It was where the war turned and made it possible for Sweden to retain the southern parts of the country.

According to history professor Dick Harrison at Lund University, it is historically unreasonable to destroy such a place by forsaking the earth and sabotaging the possibilities for future archaeological investigations.

Later excavations on site have discovered pistol balls, artillery projectiles and a horseshoe belonging to the Swedish cavalry.

Dick Harssion believes that Fyllebro is “one of the most important field battlefields in Swedish history”.

But battlefields are not counted as ancient monuments, which allowed the municipality to proceed with the mosque building.

“Our historylessness makes me feel ashamed of living in Sweden,” said Dick Harrison to Hallandsposten, pointing out that he did not mind mosques in himself.

The municipality receives SEK 1.4 million, SEK 200 per square meter, for the land when they sell to the Islamic Children and Culture Association, SVT has previously reported.

Swedish Dentist Reveals 80% of Migrant ‘Children’ Are Actually Adults

Swedish dentist Bernt Herlitz revealed to authorities that after checking the molar teeth of hundreds of migrant children that 80% of the so-called children were actually adults. Herlitz was quickly fired and now may lose his home.

Via: Jim Hoft

In June 2016 two migrants were arrested in February for raping a twelve year-old boy at a housing center for unaccompanied migrants in Sweden. The men said they were 15 but social media shows they were born in 1997 and 1971.

The men raped the child and recorded the attack on a cellphone.

The Swedish Migration Agency claims up to 70 percent of child migrants are actually adults.

And now there is this…
Bernt Herlitz told his story to local Swedish news
 (rough translation):

Dental hygienist advised the Migration Board about adult “unaccompanied” – was therefore kicked out of work. Now the entire family property can be confiscated by the region of Gotland, who hired a star lawyer.

It was in July last year that at the time 56-year-old dental hygienist Bernt Herlitz with his wife looked into one of Almedalen’s seminars dealing with age assessment in the judiciary and in the sports world. The theme was urgent for the couple because both of them worked at the Public Health Service in Visby, where many of the so-called unaccompanied refugees turned their teeth. In 2016, the debate on unanimity rose – not least because of the high cost of living, which in some cases could be 6-8 thousand kronor per day.

“I would probably appreciate that up to 80% of them were obviously adults. This can be seen, for example, on wisdom teeth that were fully grown – something that is only seen in adults, Bernt says.

“The suspicions must be reported”

The subject was a snack in the breakfast room, but nobody knew how to ignore the suspicion, according to Bernt. In the aftermath seminar Seminaria participated, among others, Åsa Carlander-Hemingway, a unit manager from the Swedish Migration Board, who told the couple that it is important at the right age and that all suspicions should be reported to the Swedish Migration Board.

Said and done – when he returned to work in August that year Bernt began to advise the Migration Board about his suspicions. In total, he sent more than 8 emails where he stated that he was a dental hygienist and felt that the age stated in the Migration Board’s actions was wrong.

– It is important that the right thing is right – not least because adults do not live with children.

Little Bernard thought what would happen next. He never received any response from the Swedish Migration Board. Instead, one of the official officials forwarded his e-mail to a good man for one of the people the tips were about. Good man, in turn, contacted Bernt’s head at Folktandvården, Mats Kvarnberg. It did not take long before a full commitment was started.

“The manager asked me to come to a single room where there was also another senior manager from the employer, the region of Gotland. They told me I will not go to work tomorrow, that I’m turned off and that there will be an investigation.

How did it feel?

– It felt heavy. But I did not realize the seriousness of it yet. I told you that the woman from the Migration Board had said that I would report. I thought it would be done in a few days and I could get back to work.

But, really, it did not. 14 days later Bernt was dismissed after 10 years of service at Folktandvården. The employer said he broke patient confidentiality, which would have been for his patients.

All three local newspapers on Gotland described him as a dangerous lawyer and turned on right-wing extremists as “age-rated refugees on their own behalf”. The news also reached SVT .

– They wrote about me on the first page without even contacting me. One felt so enormously exposed. Sure, they have not printed my name but Gotland is a small place and everyone knows everyone so it’s not hard to figure out who it’s all about.

But Bernt is neither right-wing or even politically active. His fate is time-consuming in many ways. He is a native gown and has lived all his life on the island. Prior to public care, he worked to build mobile base stations at a factory previously owned by Ericsson. The factory was acquired by Flextronics, which eventually moved production to Hungary and in 2003 closed the business in Visby. Bernt was dismissed.

That’s when he and his wife decided to go for a three-year education at Umeå University to become dental hygienists.

“It would be a reboot for us,” says Bernt.

And then they got a job pretty quickly after finishing education, at the same public health service in Visby.

“It’s quite run for me”

“Job is the most important thing. Everything revolves around it. If you have no job, you have no money, no spare time.

Therefore, he decided to take the fight to get his job back. Bernt’s trade unions refused to help him because he accidentally left the trade unions a couple of months before this happened. This means that he had to pay for legal aid from his own pocket. However, the frustration and upset of the unfair treatment he considers to have been subjected to the region of Gotland was so great that he took it up.

“I am 57 years old and that means that it is quite run on the labor market for me. Region Gotland is a big employer in my industry on the island and no new employment with them is excluded. There are some private options but their interest always ended after the question “Why did you end up at the Region Gotland?”.

Bernt tried to find a job on the mainland. He managed to get a temporary contact in Kalmar County where he commuted with the ferry from the island for three-day shift. In the long run, however, it did not work. At the same time, his wife, who worked in the same workplace, had to go down to half-time and then resign completely.

“She suffered from health problems because of this whole sad situation. It became impossible to proceed simply. It also did not help some colleagues start looking at her, explains Bernt.

In other words, no one had a couple of jobs when a verdict came from Gotland’s district court after nearly a year’s long trial. The District Court’s assessment was that there was no reason for dismissal. On the other hand, the employer had the right to terminate Bernt. In the verdict, the district court maintains that a breach of patient secrecy had occurred – but stressed at the same time that it has not been found that the victims suffered injury because of it and that there may be some exceptions to confidentiality.

Håkan Juholt: Sweden “On the way to becoming a dictatorship”

The former S leader Håkan Juholt is now making sharp criticism of the social development in Sweden, which he believes is heading for a dictatorship. He himself has moved to Iceland and does not intend to set foot in Sweden again for several years.

Via: friatider.se

It is in an interview with Svenska Dagbladet that the Socialist Democrats former party leader Håkan Juholt paints a least bleak picture of Sweden.

He believes that in the long run, the country will undoubtedly become a dictatorship.

– How old is your son? Four? When he is old he will not live in a democracy but in a technocracy, or a dictatorship. It’s so bad in the hell. I’m sad to say that, but I’m 100 percent confident. We are in the process of decommissioning democracy, he says to Svenska Dagbladet.

According to Juholt, tanks will not roll on the streets of the country, but the dictatorship will be more sophisticated than that.

He points out that fewer people are elected by the parties while the parties tune down their ideology. Juholt believes that Sweden’s future will be ruled by an “elite” and not by the citizens themselves.

Democracy is sliding the Swedes out of their hands, he says.

Håkan Juholt himself has been working for a while as ambassador in Iceland. He is very serious in his statements and also explains to SvD that he is not going to visit Sweden once in the next few years. He is so worried about the development here.

Håkan Juholt had today been Sweden’s prime minister but was forced to resign as S leader in January 2012 following a media campaign on parliamentary compensation for his overnight apartment in Stockholm.

London’s New Mega Mosque

“We do not know what they are preaching as [it is] all in Arabic.” — A petitioner against the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham mosque, in the middle of one of London’s two largely Jewish areas.

Via: Judith Bergman

  • “[Ayatollah Syed Mohammed Al-Shirazi]… would constantly encourage the establishment of Hussaini centers across the world, especially in non-Islamic countries… so we can propagate the teachings of the Ahlulbayt.” — Leading members of the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham mosque describing its 30-year history and why it was established.
  • The Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Hussaini Al-Shirazi, a leading Iranian cleric who resides in the city of Qom, has a list of religious centers and mosques with which he appears to be involved. Among them is the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham in London.

A new Shia Muslim mega mosque and Islamic center – measuring over 3,500 square meters and with room for 3,000 people — has opened in Golders Green, one of only two largely Jewish areas in London. The Shia Muslim religious center, Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham, owns the mosque.

The mosque is situated in the Hippodrome, a prominent building centrally located in North London. The Hippodrome was built in 1913 as a 3,000-seat music hall and for more than 30 years housed the BBC Concert Orchestra. Two episodes of the first series of Monty Python’s Flying Circus were recorded there in 1969. After the BBC left the building in 2005, a Jewish group wanted to convert the building into a place of worship but was rejected, because the planning applications stipulated that the building should be used for entertainment. In March 2007, it was purchased by an evangelical Christian center. After the church center closed, the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham center acquired it.

Because the building is a so-called grade II building, special permission is needed to change the purpose of the building. The Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham has applied to the local city council for permission to use the building as a ‘place of worship’. The application is still pending– and worship there is therefore, strictly speaking, illegal — but the mosque is operating nevertheless. It apparently officially opened on September 8, and has been in frequent use since, as is evident from the many photos shared on the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham Facebook page.

A partial screenshot of a post from the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham Facebook page, advertising the opening of the new mega mosque.

“This is a great move for us and we are very pleased and excited to be in Golders Green in such a diverse area. We can’t wait to get to know our neighbours and plan to welcome them at an open day sometime in December… We will be reaching out to the local churches and synagogues so we can build strong ties with the community,” Ahmed Al-Kazemi, the spokesperson for the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham mosque told the Jewish chronicle in September. It appears unlikely that forging ties with neighbors will be a high priority, as one young member of the mosque explained in a recent fundraising video for the new mega mosque:

“Growing up in this country, same as any other Western country, it is very difficult for the youth to stay on the straight path… it is very easy to stray yourself away from the straight path because of the friends you make at school or at work or anywhere, which is not mixed with your own people. So the Hussainiyah [the Shia mosque] was there as a backbone to us… where if they saw any of us doing anything wrong there would always be a person to advise you and put you in the right path…”

In the fundraising video, leading members of the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham describe the 30-year history of Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham and why it was established. An elderly cleric, not named in the video, said:

“[Ayatollah Syed Mohammed Al-Shirazi] … would constantly encourage the establishment of Hussaini centers across the world, especially in non-Islamic countries and thus would encourage people to travel and reside in Western countries [at this point the cleric uses the term ‘hijrah’ to describe Islamic migration into the West]. I was one of those, who were advised to reside in the West; so we can propagate the teachings of the Ahlulbayt. I arrived in London in 1993. The Hussainiah programmes then took place in an apartment in Edgware Road [in London], which we would attend. At the time these were organized by the late Ayatollah Sheikh al-Garawi…”

The apartment on Edgware Road in London was subsequently exchanged for a larger property, a former garage and car storage facility, at 120 Cricklewood Lane in North London. After 20 years at the Cricklewood property, a younger cleric explained, ‘we were under pressure from various angles to sell the venue in search of a more suitable space’.

Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham sold their old converted garage and warehouse for a remarkable £4.5 million in January 2017. The property was apparently only valued at about one tenth of that sum and properties in that area apparently sell at a fraction of that price.

The Islamic charity that runs Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham, the Center for Islamic Enlightenment (also known as Markaz El Tathgheef El Eslami, which has at its stated purpose, ‘to promote the advancement of the Islamic religion by all or any of the following means: Providing religious centers for worship of the Islamic religion, providing free booklets and supplements to followers, advancement of education of the public concerning the Islamic religious culture) bought the prominent Hippodrome building with its central location in the affluent and attractive suburb of Golders Green for £5.2 million in July – not that much more than for what they had sold their old converted garage. The identity of the extremely generous buyer of the Crickleroad property remains unknown.

The conversion of the Hippodrome into a mega-mosque has created local protests in Golders Green. A petition against it has been launched, signed by more than 4,000 people. According to one petitioner:

“To place a large Muslim institution in the heart of one of London’s only two Jewish communities is a highly dangerous undertaking and one that can only result in violence and terrorism.”

Another petitioner wrote:

“The appearance of burkas [and] veils has changed the area… the traffic is too much and we do not know what they are preaching as [it is] all in Arabic”.

While Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham poses as a local Islamic community that is interested in diversity and interfaith dialogue, it would appear that it is under the direct influence of Iran. The Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Hussaini Al-Shirazi, a leading Iranian cleric who resides in the city of Qom, has a list of religious centers and mosques with which he appears to be involved (they are listed as his “Works” on his website). Among them are three centers or mosques in Canada and one mosque in Europe: The Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adhamin London. Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Hussaini Al-Shirazi, the brother of the late Ayatollah Syed Mohammed Al-Shirazi, is cited in the fundraising video mentioned above as the person who “would constantly encourage the establishment of Hussaini centers across the world, especially in non-Islamic countries and thus would encourage people to travel and reside in Western countries”.

At the end of the fundraising video, a spokesperson for the Hussainiyat Al-Rasool Al-Adham says that the mosque is very happy with their new location and that they expect to be there for the next “100, 200 or 300 years”.

New handbook teaches Arabs Muslim how to have sex in Sweden

$

A Swedish journalist is launching a new series of sex education books, which he says are aiming to answer key questions posed by newly arrived migrants about how to meet people, how to flirt, and how to have sex.

Via: Oliver JJ Lane

Aiming to reach as many people as possible, the explicitly illustrated book Me and You will be published in three editions. As well as Swedish, there will also be an Arabic language version “especially for those who are new to Sweden”.

The books follow a previous title by the author, the Simple Sex Book for children (pictured above).

The book was featured on Sweden’s TV4 Tuesday morning, where a number of the illustrations were revealed to the breakfast show’s audience. In one, a bearded and hooded man is shown imagining a group sex fetish scene where one woman wears Mickey Mouse ears as she mounts a man, while another woman wields a flogger.

Another picture appears to address the issue of underage sex abuse, in which an apparently young girl embraces an adult woman, and asks whether they can have sex — the adult replies that she wants to wait.

Explaining the process of creating the book on his website, former government radio journalist Inti Chavez Perez states he “interviewed hundreds of young people, new arrivals, immigrants and born Swedish people”. Answering the questions they posed, Perez explains in the book “How do you get in touch with someone in a hurry and how do you get together?”, as well as, “Is masturbation dangerous?”

Elsewhere on his website, the journalist shows off his work with young Swedes, where in one class of 20 pupils of 10-12-years-old he led a “workshop on gender roles”, teaching that “Gender roles and other norms are perceived. There is nothing natural or congenital in them”.

When asked on Swedish television what he hoped his work would achieve, Perez replied: “I want this book to reach the classrooms for immigrants all around Sweden”.

The book is only the latest in a number of recent initiatives in Sweden to close the discrepancy between long-established sexual norms in the country and the views of many of the thousands of migrants who have made Sweden their new home during the course of the migrant crisis.

Another project, this time by the Swedish Ministry of Youth and Civil Affairs, was released in September specifically tackling the concept of consent, in an effort to drive down sex attacks involving young migrants.

Swedenstan: New Swedish stamp has mosque as a motif

Postnord launches five new stamps with different motifs. One of the stamps represents a mosque.

Via: samnytt.se

In the end of August Postnord launched five new stamps with the motif of the artist and the water list Lars Lerin.

One of the stamps represents a large Muslim mosque. Another represents something similar to one of the suburbs of the country.

“As more greetings are sent electronically, a greeting in the mailbox becomes increasingly exclusive and many choose stamp motivation carefully. Therefore, it is fun to be able to offer contemporary art in miniature format to all letterwriters in the country, “says Britt-Inger Hahne, Chief Postnord Stamps.

Lars Lerin is presented as one of Sweden‘s most beloved artists, and the motives have been chosen in collaboration with him and designed by Gustav Mårtensson.

“Stamps play an important role in everybody’s everyday life. For example, in the summer, Swedes stated that they intended to send 20 million holiday greetings with postcards or letters. It is also the most appreciated way of receiving greetings,” Postnord writes.

Postage stamps are also claimed to be more personal than an electronic greeting and “symbolize caring and someone’s time”.

The stamp with the mosque has great similarities with a watercolor from Lars Lerin, entitled “Moské” and sold a few years ago at Stockholm’s auction house for SEK 370,000.

Örebro police: five points for women who were raped

$

What should you do if you happen to be rape or other sex crimes? The Great Crime Investigator, Peter Springare, lists five important things to consider in order for the judiciary to prosecute a sex offense. Springers have long experience in finding out complex and difficult crimes, especially where sex offenders are offenders.

Via: Katerina Janouch

Due to the hash tag #metoo, News has today talked to Peter Springare, investigator of serious crime in the Örebro police. Springers have many years of experience in sexual offenses and were, for example, interrogators in the investigation of the famous serialist Niklas Eliasson, also known as the “Örebromannen”.

Sex crimes have been reportedly in the past month, partly because it is noticed that the police are not investigating all rape reports that come in and cases are being put to high, but of course, because several men in the media industry have been accused of abuse.

First and foremost, what do you think about #metoo?

“It is good to get an idea of how widespread the problem is and how women feel. Now there’s a bigger picture, not just people being harassed at festivals or when they followed someone from home. Women testify to all possible contexts and, not least, sexual harassment in working life. The risk is that some debt will be unnecessarily unnecessary. One such campaign may cause people to be forced to think and think, am I one of them, am I a sex offender? It can create anxiety with some.

More women say they are subjected to some type of sexual offense. It shows a partial report of the National Security Survey (NTU), published by the Crime Prevention Council (BRÅ) in November 2016. In 2016, 20 300 sexual offenses were reported, 6,720 of which were classified as rape. In the National Security Survey, 1.7 percent state that they are exposed to sexual offenses in 2015.

Peter Springare. Photo: News Today

If you have now been subjected to a sexual offense. What should you think of then?

Here, Peter Springare lists five important points that may be important for the perpetrator to be fired.

1: Time aspect

Sign up as soon as possible! In general, from a police point of view, do not wait to contact the police. Many await weeks, months, even years. But the best thing is to report as soon as possible. Then you will be taken care of directly within the police and get help examined, you are served the opportunity to get to a women’s clinic or gynecologist and you get support.

When examined, a special kit and manual is available at the medical examination, which is relevant and attached to the police investigation. One examines the entire body, not just the abdomen. You are looking for fluids and traces and investigating possible injuries, streak marks, tear marks, sores and bruises. Not only the abdomen, but the entire outer body is completely scanned. From the toes up to the scalp. What a survey like this shows can be the reason why you can pick up an attacker very soon, maybe even after a few hours.

2: The body

In order to preserve as much evidence as possible, do not wash after an abuse. The ability to find DNA on the body is so refined now that you can trace as volatile contact as touch, kiss or someone slim on the skin.

3: The clothes

Secure your clothes if you wait to make a notification. DNA, sperm, blood or other body fluids may remain on the clothes that are important evidence. Save panties, dress and socks.

What is worth pointing out here: Do not put clothes in a plastic bag! Plastics do not let go through air and keep clothes worse, especially when it comes to body fluids like blood and sperm. These can murmur. It is therefore best to put the accessories in a paper bag, where the tracks are the best. For example, outerwear can also be tracked, so it’s good to be able to show where the clothes the perpetrator took, for example on a jacket. There the police can search for DNA.

4: Documentation

In the digital world we now live in, there are many tracks left after a contact. Not rarely, you know who the perpetrator is. The sexual offense may have been preceded by contact via the network, such as SMS, Facebook, Instagram and the social media available. The contact may have taken place before and after. It is not uncommon for an offender to contact afterwards.

Then it may turn out that in such a conversation, the perpetrator may have allowed something. He may have regretted, admits that he understood that she did not want to. Some crime victims erase contacts as some kind of reaction, but they should not be done. Take screenshots, save conversation. It can often be very valuable. When someone denies it, you may see what they were talking about where he himself acknowledged. Document contacts in social media.

5: Proof of support

It is also important to tell you what happened to a friend, parent, relative or someone else who trusts and who can then testify about this. If you are hesitant to make a notification, if it is a few days since the event, it is good to have a supporting evidence. When you report, these people can be heard what this plaintiff said. So it’s always good to have told a third party. Then you do not only end up in a word-to-word situation, but there are also those testimonies to go on.

Prominent Swiss Muslim Academic Tariq Ramadan Accused of Rape

A rape and sexual assault complaint was filed on Friday in France against Swiss Islamist and Professor Tariq Ramadan by former Salafist Henda Ayari.

Via: france24

The complaint filed with the Rouen prosecutor’s office in northwestern France, by the Salafist turned secular activist, detailed criminal acts of rape, sexual assault, violence, harassment and intimidation, according to document reviewed by AFP.

The Liberators Association, which Henda Ayari is president of, said on Facebook that she was “a victim of something very serious several years ago” but did not reveal the name of her aggressor for safety reasons.

In her book “I Chose to be Free”, published in November 2016, she described her aggressor as Zubair.

She said in her writings that she met him at his hotel in Paris after the Islamist thinker gave a lecture.

“I will not give precise details of the acts he has done to me. It is enough to know that he has benefited greatly from my weakness,” Ayari wrote.

She said in her book that when she rebelled against him at one point he screamed at her, insulted her, slapped her and treated her violently.

“I confirm today, that the famous Zubair is Tariq Ramadan,” Ayari published on Facebook.

According to Jonas Haddad, Ayari’s lawyer, the plaintiff did not report the assault earlier, out of fear.

“After revelations over the past few days of rape and sexual assault claims in the media, Henda has decided to say what happened to her and take legal action,” he told AFP.

On Saturday, French daily newspaper Le Parisien reported that Ramadi has denied the allegations and plans to counter Ayari’s accusations by filing his own report with the police.

A household name

Ayari’s police report was filed as millions of women across the globe in the past week have come forward to share personal accounts of sexual assault and sexual harassment following allegations recently made public against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Ramadan could not be reached by AFP and did not react to the allegations on social media.

Swiss-born Ramadan, whose grandfather, Hassan al Banna, founded the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, is a controversial figure who has both been praised as a reformist and denounced as a radical for his theories on Western society — namely how modern Islam will shape Europe, which he claims is in decline.

In 1995, Ramadan was temporarily barred from entering France due to alleged links to Algerian terrorists. In 2003, he clashed with France’s then interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, when he refused to condemn stoning, insisting instead on a “moratorium on the death penalty”.

Due to his many confrontations with French politicians – in particular with Sarkozy during his presidency – Ramadan has become a household name in France.

He is currently a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Swedenistan: 95.6 percent of rape assault is committed by Muslim immigrants

$

A new comprehensive investigation of convictions between 2012-2017 shows an extreme of Muslim immigrants among sexual offenses. That is a response to the government’s refusal to give BRÅ the task of producing official current statistics on immigrants’ crime.

Via: friatider.se

“In January 2017, Morgan Johansson (S), Minister of Migration, announced that the government do not intend to provide the Crime Prevention Council (BRÅ) with the task of developing new statistics on the origin of criminals. Despite the fact that it has been a decade since the latest report and Sweden‘s demographics changed dramatically since then. The government’s unwillingness to produce official statistics sank inspiration for the survey I have now conducted, “the author writes in his preface.

In total, more than four thousand judgments are detailed on 80 pages. The survey was conducted in May-September this year, covering almost all convictions for sexual offenses between 2012-2017. However, data for Haparanda and Norrtälje District Court are missing because, according to the author, they refused to cooperate. Once more current information has been available from court cases, decisions have been taken.

The courts are filing criminal sentences after five years, meaning they can not be digitally informed, the author points out. Therefore, the survey generally contains only judgments from the second half of 2012. At the same time, judgments from the last quarter of 2017 are missing since the survey was done before.

The study shows, among other things, that persons with overseas descent commit 84 percent of gross rape. Swedes come first in fourth place, after Afghans, Iraqis and Somalis.

Two out of three serious rapes are committed by asylum seekers or men who have been granted residence permits.

National groups, according to the study, have the highest factor (probability) commit gross rape are Muslim Algerians, Afghans, Tunisians, Moroccans and Palestinians.

95.6 percent of assault violence is committed by men of foreign descent. Swedish men with two native-born parents have only committed 4.4 percent of assault violence in the last five years

“It is unimaginable 541 times the risk that an Algerian man commits assault rifle than a Swedish man [does it]”, the report claims.

According to the study, 90 percent of group violence of men with overseas descent is committed and every fourth rapist is a group in Afghanistan. Swedish men with two native-born parents have only committed 6.7 percent of group violence in the last five years.

Afghans sentenced for sexual offenses should, according to the study, have risen sharply since 2015. 2017 is almost every tenth convicted sexual offense Afghan.

“Despite the explosive reception of Syrian men, they commit more than a third as many sexual offenses as Afghans,” says the survey.

Most rapists who acted in groups have been convicted in Ystad, Eksjö and UppsalaGöteborg is in 11th place, Stockholm 16th and Malmö 21th.

The study also shows that foreigners victims of Swedes sexually to a much greater extent than other foreigners.

A majority of those convicted of couples, 57 percent, are Romans. Likewise, the majority of victims of intercourse are foreign women from the same country as the couple.

The survey also shows that gay owls share of the total number of rapes has risen sharply in recent years, while group rape against men is now the most common category. 85 percent of those convicted of group violence against men are Afghans.

Adopted men, regardless of country, commit sexual offenses to a greater extent than not only Swedes, but also non-adopted from the same country group.

The proportion of Swedish men with two domestic-born parents convicted of sexual offenses has, in proportion to other groups, decreased since 2013 and fallen sharply in the past two years. Swedish men are only overrepresented in three rubrics: the purchase of sexual acts of children, child pornography and the exploitation of children for sexual orientation.

Joakim P Jonasson published “citizen study” of sexual offenses in Sweden between 2012-2017.

Muslim from Ottawa not guilty of sexual assault because he thought he could have sex with wife anytime

An Ottawa man has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting his wife because of his honest belief that he had the right to have intercourse with her whenever he wanted.

Via: Andrew Duffy

In a written ruling, Ontario Superior Court Justice Robert Smith said the Crown failed to prove that the accused had formed the required criminal intent — mens rea — to sexually assault his wife in 2002.

“I find that the accused probably had sex with his wife on many occasions without her specific consent, as both he and she believed that he had the right to do so,” Smith said.

However, the judge ruled the man was not guilty of sexual assault because the Crown had failed to establish that he knew his behaviour was, in fact, criminal.

The decision, issued earlier this week, followed a five-day trial in June.

The man was part of an arranged marriage in Gaza. His wife, a Palestinian who grew up in Kuwait, lived in Ottawa and the family settled in this city.

She testified that during their marriage, she considered it her obligation to have sex with her husband. Often, she told court, she did not consent, but they both believed it was his right.

The couple separated in January 2013, but they had difficultly making child arrangements work.

Court heard that it was during a dispute over child access — after speaking to a police officer — that the woman came to understand she had the right to refuse sexual relations with her husband. She subsequently complained to Ottawa police about a 2002 incident.

The husband denied ever having sexual relations with his wife without her consent, and specifically denied the incident that led to the charges.

His wife alleged that, in 2002, he grabbed her by the wrist, pulled her onto the couch, pulled down her pants and had sex with her even though she asked him three times to stop.

The judge said she was a credible witness who gave straightforward answers.

Court heard that at the time, in 2002, the husband had undergone a hair transplant. His doctor, he testified, had told him to abstain from sex for two weeks after the surgical procedure. He told court the alleged incident could not have happened because he had followed that advice.

“The accused did not call any medical evidence to show this was standard medical practice,” the judge said, “and I find his evidence in this regard does not accord with common sense to a reasonably informed person.”

Smith said the man was argumentative and evasive as a witness, and he rejected his account as not believable.

Nevertheless, the judge said he could not find him guilty of a crime.

“Marriage is not a shield for sexual assault,” Smith wrote in his decision. “However, the issue in this trial is whether, considering the whole of the evidence, the Crown has proven the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.”

The man’s defence lawyer, Sean May, said the timing of the charges — they came to light during a combative phase in the relationship — also raised doubt in the case.

Carrolyn Johnston, acting executive director of the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women, called the ruling “disappointing.” She said it highlights persistent myths about sexual assault.

“Any sexual contact without explicit and ongoing consent is sexual assault — regardless of the relationship,” Johnston said. “He may have believed that he had a right to have sex with her as her husband, but Canadian sexual assault law is clear and was amended to include sexual assault against a spouse in 1983.”

The Ottawa coalition, the Sexual Assault Network and the city’s rape crisis centres are now engaged in public education campaigns, she said, to ensure that consent laws are better understood.

The province’s revised sex education curriculum, introduced in 2005, teaches students about the importance of consent. Students are first introduced to the concept in Grade 7.

Sweden Enters Accelerated Stage Of Muslim Takeover

Seems that all we talk about on the Alt-Right is Sweden. Seems a bit strange at first for newbies, but really, Sweden is fascinating in a morbid car crash sort of way from the perspective of the Alt-Right and any ethno-nationalist.

Via: Vincent Law

The country has managed to basically ensure its suicide within a remarkably short space of time.

I think it is safe to say that Sweden is the most far gone country in the entire world. We look at it like we would a canary in a coal mine. And those of us who have eyes to see actually try to draw lessons from the whole debacle.

Now that Muslims have critical mass in many cities, especially Malmo, they have started to separate from the authority structures of the state. By attacking the ambulances, firefighters, social workers and police sent by the Swedish state into their neighborhoods, they have been able to separate the members of their community from the Swedish state and make them reliant on parallel structures within the community.

Imam warlords and gang leaders now call the shots in many no-go zones.

And to cement this new state of affairs, the police are now being reminded not to interfere:

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast about 50 kilometres (30 miles) north of Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city.

The alarm was raised shortly after midnight, and there was severe damage to both the entryway and the inside of the building.

“The whole entrance has been blown away. The windows are shattered and there’s damage to the doors themselves,” said Lennart Linderos from the regional emergency services.

The attack was carried out at night when no one was there. What does that mean? It means it was a warning, a clear message that was intended to intimidate, not kill.

“It is fair to believe that this is a consequence of the good police work we do,” police spokesman Patric Heimbrand told a news conference.

“We work in heavy criminal environments and some of them could be irritated. But to those I’d say that we cannot be influenced.”

You just have to love the euphemism these people speak in. But we are not fooled. The next step on the part of the Muslims is to demand that the state recognize their parallel authority structures. In other words, state-approved shariah patrols and shariah courts instead of the de facto ones that exist now.

The Muslims will move gingerly, because they don’t want to kill the goose laying the golden egg too quick.

And they still need to consolidate internally. These battles between rival gangs need to be settled before they can make any bigger moves going forward. If a sudden calm descends on Malmo, then I would become very worried. It would mean that one gang has won and subdued the others. And then the peace simply turns into the quiet before the storm.

Sweden: Muslim Arab rape 15 years old girl at school’s sports day

A 16-year-old Arab Muslim boy was arrested on Friday in Malmo suspected of rape on a school colleague girl, who did not reach 15. The abuse took place during the school’s sports day. Two weeks before, he was convicted of sexually abusing three other girls in the same school.

Via: Claes Carlson

During the autumn term of 2016, three 14-year-old Swedish girls were exposed to a series of cases of sexual abuse of young Arab with immigrant backgrounds. The abuse took place at a primary school in Malmö.

Only Ahmed, who comes from the Arab world and today declares himself 16 years old, was convicted of crimes. On several occasions, Ahmed had hit the girls on the buttocks, put on their breasts and tried to pull one of the girls’ skirts together with their friends, who also have Muslim immigrant backgrounds.

Ahmed also committed two cases of ill-treatment during the same period as the six-month casualties were ongoing. The first time was when he hit one of the girls on her butt with a ruler and her hand so she got bruised. The second time was when he threw a pet bottle of water in the back of another girl so she got back in her back. He was angry for she “cheated” to the chief executive of the six-cheek victims.

When they told about the abuse to the school principal, who is a Swedish man, the girls experienced that they did not get an audience for what they were telling, The  tolled the girl that  “they had been erotic” writes Kvällsposten.

“The first time we talked with him, the school principal said that the reason they were popping was that we” went erotic “and that we did not cover us enough,” said the 15-year-old girl to the newspaper.

Ahmed refused to be guilty of crimes. To the the school principal he has said that Isabella and her friends have dressed “sexy” and have invited themselves to be undecided.

On October 5, 2017, Malmö District Court announced the verdict. Ahmed was convicted of three cases of sexual abuse to 50 hours of youth service. He will also pay several thousand kronor in damages to each girl – a total of 47,400 kronor.

But after the judgment, Ahmed was allowed to go to school after all. The 16-year-old Arab is now suspected of raping a girl at school under the age of 15 and has been arrested.

The girl’s violence is reported to have taken place during the school’s sports day, less than two weeks after Ahmed was convicted of sexual assault.

Data from the Social Council, as free times have taken part, shows that there is inavel within Ahmed’s family. For example, he has a big sister who is married to his cousin.

Isabella and Ahmed real  name is different.

The Swedish Democrats wants to place new Muslim immigrants in separate schools

The Swedish Democrats want new arrivals to be placed in special and separate schools. It writes SD Stockholm in its shadow budget.

Via: friatider.se

Stockholm Direkt report That the party recognize that immigrants are slowing down the classroom.

As it today, newly arrived Arab immigrants enter the schools too early, say in  the Swedish Democrats in Stockholm, who, in their shadow budget, presented possible measures.

Instead of being sent to the usual schools, immigrants should be put in separate preparatory schools where they must study the Swedish language, that should be prioritized.

“They often do not have enough knowledge in Swedish and can not follow the usual education rate, which reduces the pace of classrooms for all students,” says Martin Westmont, Deputy Group Leader of the City Hall, SD, directly to Stockholm.

Separate schools would thus benefit all, including immigrants, and in addition, “increase cohesion” in the city, the party believes.

SD also believes that Stockholm should not receive more immigrants as there are no more housing in the city. The new arrivals will instead be sent to other places in the country, “said Martin Westmont.

Muslim Syrian Rapes Pony On “Görlitzer Park” in Berlin

A young man allegedly sexually assaulted a pony of the “Children’s Farm” in Görlitzer Park. An employee of the institution confirms this to Berliner Morgenpost. The incident occurred on Friday of last week around 3 PM. Amanda F.

Via: Sebastian Geisler

(name changed by our editorial staff) described the incident to Berliner Morgenpost. “My babysitter took a walk with our son through Görlitzer Park. They had to witness the man sexually assaulting the pony.” Her babysitter told her about the incident, and also spoke to the so-called “park runners”. She did not want to comment on the incident. The scene was too traumatic.

The employee of the children’s farm tells Berliner Morgenpost that the babysitter quick-witted took a photo of the man as he was committing the deed, and immediately contacted employees of the children’s farm. They consulted the “park-runners” who are there to ensure safety in the Görlitzer Park*. The employee called the police. The young man realized that his deed did not go unnoticed, backed off of the animal, and disappeared in the park for the moment.

The man received a house ban and a police complaint

The “park runners” searched and found the man by the photo, and held him until the police arrived. Police then recorded the man’s personal particulars. “We banned him from the premises”, says the employee. “Should he return, we will report this. We have never had an incident like that before.” They filed charges at the police. The police confirmed the charges for violating the animals’ welfare law, and “causing public nuisance by sexual acts” against a 23-year-old native of Syria.

The children’s zoo is particularly popular with young children. They have two ponies, two donkeys, half a dozen sheep and goats, and ten chickens, ducks and rabbits each. “All around the year, we have such positive things happening here”, says the employee. “It is a pity that now, we are being associated with such an incident”.

The punishment for “causing a public nuisance” in Germany is, according to paragraph 183 a of the criminal code, imprisonment of up to a year, or a fine. Violating the animals’ protection law is punished with a prison sentence of up to three years, or a fine, if the animal was caused significant pain.

Translator’s note:
* “park runners”: after giving up all attempts to get the drug dealing in Görlitzer Park under control, the city of Berlin now employs Turkish and Arab street workers, who patrol the Görlitzer Park, to engage in dialogue on an equal footing with the 180-200 drug dealers (largely refugees from African countries) and encourage a friendlier atmosphere.

The vulnerability of sexual offenses continues to increase significantly in Sweden. A cording to a Partial report of the National Security Survey, of the Crime Prevention Council that publish today. Every seventh young woman declared herself in 2016 had been subjected to sex offenses.

Via: friatider.se

The proportion in Sweden states that are exposed to what is called a violation of an individual is according to Brå on the highest level since the measurements began in 2006.

Between 2012 and 2016, the vulnerability to sexual offenses has tripled – from 0.8 to 2.4 percent of the population.

Young women between the ages of 16-24 are the most vulnerable to sexual offenses. Of them, 14 percent reported that they had been subjected to at least one such crime in 2016. Among men in the same age group, 1.2 percent reported that they had been exposed.

What the very strong increase is due to – yes, it does not know Brå.

Percentage of the population exposed to different types of crime against individual person 2005-2016.

“Young women are not only more vulnerable to harassment, they are also more often subjected to sexual offenses. In NTU, however, there are no answers to why a type of crime increases, therefore, analyzes need to be gained in order to better understand the causes of the increase, “says Åsa Strid, Deputy Head of Unit at Brå.

Sexual crime contains a wide range of events, from blotting and other victims to rape.

In addition to the sexual offenses, it is particularly vulnerable to fraud and harassment, which is increasing sharply, according to the safety investigation.

Sweden’s Women Live in Fear in the First ‘Feminist’ Nation

$

When the world’s self-described “first feminist government” of Sweden paid a state visit to Tehran this year, what Iranians saw on TV was Swedish ministers wearing Islamic head coverings.

Via: Dale Hurd

Swedish officials could have chosen the moment to bravely show their support for Iranian women, some of whom are risking their lives by fighting for equality and the right to not wear a hijab.

Instead, Swedish officials showed their support for Iran’s Islamic government, saying later that to not wear a headscarf would have been illegal.

But critics say this kind of double standard on women’s rights is nothing new in Sweden, where the “world’s first feminist government” has had a role in making the nation less safe for women.

In Sweden today, it seems there are two sets of women’s rights: one for native women and another for immigrants.

“I think there is, just like in many nations, hypocrisy,” says Swedish parliament member Amineh Kakabaveh.

She also knows a thing or two about Iran and headscarves. A Kurd born into a Muslim family in Iran, Kakabaveh became a Peshmerga guerilla fighter as a teenager rather than lose her rights as a woman in Iran’s Islamic theocracy.

Today she is fighting for women as a member of Sweden’s Left party, but she has been called a “racist” and an “Islamophobe” when she has spoken out against Islamic fundamentalism or honor violence in migrant communities.

Honor Violence and ‘Virginity Checks’

Kakabaveh’s message is that in a nation that likes to think of itself as one of the most advanced societies in the world – a nation with roughly the same population as the state of North Carolina – 200,000 young people are now at risk from honor violence.

Swedish media reports some hospitals have even done virginity checks on young women, which is a key component in honor culture.

Government Obscures the Link between Migrants and Crime

Statistics show that the incidence of sexual crimes has risen dramatically, but Swedish economist and author, Dr. Tino Sanandaji, says the Swedish establishment continues to insist there is no firm link between immigrants and crime, sexual or otherwise.

“And to this day they deny it,” says Sanandaji. “I mean, the official government homepage says there is no firm link between immigration and crime.”

How can the Swedish government say that? Sanandaji says, “They’re irrational and they’re in a bubble. It’s sort of the feeling of ‘fake news.’ They’re putting propaganda on our government website.”

“They will use irrational, aggressively irrational arguments to deny all causal links. They say things like ‘the common denominator in honor killings is men [rather than ‘migrant men’]; just an illogical rhetorical trick to confuse people.”

The Swedish government website insists the government is not covering up the link between immigrants and crime, but then goes on to blame the crime on socioeconomic differences.

Swedish Women in Danger

Meanwhile, in a nation where the safety of women should be paramount, Swedish women have had to take action to defend themselves, creating groping guards at public pools to keep men from assaulting them.

Tasers and pepper spray are illegal in Sweden, so authorities somehow think bracelets that say, ‘do not molest me,’ will help.

One Swedish woman summed up the fears of many when she said, “I feel threatened because if I walk outside at night, it can happen to me too. I can’t defend myself.”

But the most vulnerable women in Sweden today are migrants, living in refugee shelters. And the media has begun covering the problem.

“I think we are at a tipping point in the debate, as we speak,” says conservative journalist and blogger Johan Westerholm.

Westerholm is concerned that Sweden has imported a whole host of problems with its immigration policy, including migrants who are not educated enough to get a job in Sweden’s high tech economy.

But, he added, to say publicly that Sweden’s immigration policy has been a mistake would bring the “racist” accusation.

‘Keep Your Culture,’ Even if It Is Violent to Women

Demands that migrant men become more civilized in their treatment of women is also viewed by some in Sweden as a racist notion.

“The Swedish model is multiculturalism and the official message is ‘keep your culture, you don’t have to integrate,'” says Sanandaji. “That’s the government message: ‘in fact, we don’t want you to integrate.'”

And it feels as if the Swedish government’s number one priority is preserving its multicultural experiment and not protecting women.

Turkey’s Mosque Islamizes Denmark

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan clearly sees Turks living in the West as a spearhead of Islam.”Yes, integrate yourselves into German society but don’t assimilate yourselves. No one has the right to deprive us of our culture and our identity”, Erdogan told Turks in Germany as early as in 2011.

Via: Judith Bergman

  • This assessment of Milli Görüs, however, does not seem to bother Danish authorities, who appear to see no problems with their cities becoming Islamized by the Turks. How many more mosques will it take?

“Islam cannot be either ‘moderate’ or ‘not moderate.’ Islam can only be one thing,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on November 9. “Recently the concept of ‘moderate Islam’ has received attention. But the patent of this concept originated in the West… They are now trying to pump up this idea again. What they really want to do is weaken Islam…”

Erdogan is working on strengthening Islam in the West, something he does, among other ways, by building Turkish mosques in Western countries. It is hardly surprising that he does not want the West to “weaken Islam”, but at the moment there seems little risk of that happening. The establishment of Turkish mosques in Western countries appears to be proceeding apace with very little opposition. Conversely, building Western churches in Turkey is inconceivable.

Erdogan clearly sees Turks living in the West as a spearhead of Islam. “Yes, integrate yourselves into German society but don’t assimilate yourselves. No one has the right to deprive us of our culture and our identity”, Erdogan told Turks in Germany as early as 2011. This year, he told Turks living in the West:

“Go live in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses. Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.”

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan clearly sees Turks living in the West as a spearhead of Islam. This year, he told Turks living in the West: “Go live in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses. Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.” (Photo by Gokhan Sahin/Getty Images)

Erdogan is evidently working to ensure, by continuously building new mosques and expanding old ones across Europe, that Muslims will indeed be the future of the continent.

One Western country where Erdogan is ramping up Islam is Denmark. Two new Turkish mosques are about to open in the Danish cities of Roskilde and Holbæk; in the past year, two Turkish mosques opened in the cities of Fredericia and Aarhus. New Turkish mosques were opened in Ringsted and Hedehusene in 2013; and in Køge the existing mosque opened a cultural center. There are 27 Turkish mosques in Denmark; eight of them are expanding or wish to expand.

The new mosque in Roskilde, complete with minarets, is owned by Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet). The inclusion of minarets is due to second- and third-generation Turkish immigrants, who wanted the mosque to look like a “proper mosque”.

“It is a general trend in all of Europe that Diyanet is expanding physically with new mosques, and through [the mosques] also religiously, politically and culturally” said professor Samim Akgönül, of the university of Strasbourg. He has analyzed the Friday sermons that Diyanet sends to mosques all over Europe; his analyses show that the sermons are full of political and nationalistic messages favoring Erdogan’s regime.

According to Tuncay Yilmaz, chairman of the board of Roskilde’s Ayasofya Mosque, “Diyanet is not political, I can promise you that. Obviously they belong to the Turkish state, but they are independent of the government”.

That statement is false. Diyanet is an agency of the Turkish government — and an extremely active one. As Gatestone’s Burak Bekdil has noted:

“In a briefing for a parliamentary commission, Diyanet admitted that it gathered intelligence via imams from 38 countries on the activities of suspected followers of the US-based preacher Fetullah Gülen, whom the Turkish government accused of being the mastermind of the attempted coup on July 15… Diyanet said its imams gathered intelligence and prepared reports from Abkhazia, Germany, Albania, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mongolia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkmenistan and Ukraine”.

In Denmark, nonetheless, the newest Turkish-state mosque was welcomed with open arms. The mayor of Roskilde, Joy Mogensen, who knew that the Turkish government owned the mosque, participated in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone in February 2016. She claims that the very fact that she and the city’s bishop were invited to the ceremony meant that there were “good people” in the mosque working for “integration” — otherwise they would not have allowed “a Christian woman like myself without a headscarf” to participate in their ceremony.

One of those people “working for integration” is the chairman of the board of the mosque, Tuncay Yilmaz, who is also a member of the Roskilde city council for the Social Democratic party. He happens to have close ties to the radical Islamic organization Milli Görüs, which runs a travel agency where Yilmaz works. He organizes their trips to Mecca. “I am not a member of that organization” Yilmaz says. “The only connection is that I work for their travel agency”.

Clearly, Roskilde’s mayor does not consider Yilmaz’s affiliation a problem, nor does the city council. “If we had observed anything suspicious about that organization, we would have talked to him about it; but we haven’t heard anything like that” said Søren Kargaard, chairman of the Social Democratics in Roskilde, when asked by journalists about Yilmaz’s connection to Milli Görüs. Well, perhaps if Kargaard had bothered to look up Milli Görüs to inform himself about it, this is what he would have found, according to a 2005 report from the Middle East Quarterly:

“Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, has repeatedly warned about Milli Görüş’s activities, describing the group in its annual reports as a ‘foreign extremist organization’. The agency also reported that ‘although Milli Görüş, in public statements, pretends to adhere to the basic principles of Western democracies, abolition of the laicist government system in Turkey and the establishment of an Islamic state and social system are, as before, among its goals… As the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Landesverfassungsschutz) in Hessen notes: The threat of Islamism for Germany is posed … primarily by Milli Görüş and other affiliated groups. They try to spread Islamist views within the boundaries of the law. Then they try to implement … for all Muslims in Germany a strict interpretation of the Qur’an and of the Shari’a. … Their public support of tolerance and religious freedom should be treated with caution”.

This assessment, however, does not seem to bother Danish authorities, who appear to see no problems with their cities becoming Islamized by the Turks. That kind of ignorance — or pretense of ignorance — amounts to the dereliction of duty on the part of people such as the mayor of Roskilde and Mr. Kargaard.

How many more mosques will it take?

Terrorism on the rise in Germany

The number of terror-related investigations opened by German police this year jumped from 250 to 1,000 the past year – a dramatic increase in a country still reeling from a string of deadly terrorism attacks.

Via: Don Snyder

During a recent broadcast on German television, Holger Munch, director of the Federal German Police, said the terror threat is high and will likely stay that way for years to come.

According to Maximilian Kall, spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice, 85 percent of the cases are connected to radical Islamists.

This year’s jump in terror-related investigations reflects the fear that some of the 890 Germans who joined ISIS in Syria and Iraq may be returning to Germany now that ISIS has lost virtually all the territory it occupied. With an Islamic caliphate no longer feasible, the military mission in the Middle East is less attractive and is being redirected to terrorist attacks in Europe.

German police are heavily engaged in surveillance and are gathering evidence that can be used in trials of suspected terrorists, or their supporters.

The number of terror-related investigations opened by German police this year jumped from 250 to 1,000 in 2016 – a dramatic increase in a country still reeling from a string of deadly terrorism attacks.  (REUTERS)

“The rise in the numbers being investigated has proved to be a huge problem for the German court system because they have been flooded with cases over the past two years,” said Elmar Thevessen, a terrorist analyst for ZDF, a large public television network.

Many of the federal cases have been transferred to provincial courts in the 16 German lander (states) in order to hasten trials.

The returning ISIS fighters who are trained for combat and the use of explosives pose a serious threat. ISIS is also increasing its calls to sympathizers throughout the world, telling them to use trucks, cars, and knives if conventional weapons are not available.

Police estimate there may be as many as 1,000 people in Germany who are potentially dangerous and willing to commit attacks, according to Thevessen.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s controversial open-door policy brought 1.5 million refugees from the Middle East into Germany between 2015 and 2016.

“There was chaos at the border and virtually no information about the real identity of the refugees and their countries of origin,” said Florian Flade, an expert on Islam at Die Welt, a center- right German daily newspaper.

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, or BfV, warned in 2016 that many unaccompanied adolescent refugees are susceptible to Jihadist propaganda, especially propaganda that’s spread on social media. They quickly self-radicalize and are prepared to obey orders to kill non-Muslims.

A festival goer holds up a sign that reads “drink against terror” as thousands cheer for a rock band at the open-air weekend “Rock am Ring” concert at Germany’s Formula One race track Nuerburgring, Germany June 3, 2017.  (REUTERS)

According to Flade, many of the single young men who were part of the refugee influx become marginalized. They don’t speak German, are slow to integrate, and have missed years of school because of the wars in Syria and Iraq.

The BfV report finds that “all attacks carried out in Germany in 2016 can be classified as part of the phenomenon of the individual jihad, which means that they were committed by lone perpetrators, or small groups.”

Fears that Islamic extremists have entered Germany with the refugee influx have helped fuel a xenophobic backlash against the refugees. This backlash is having a significant political impact.

The Alternative for Germany (AFD), a new far-right political party, had astonishing success in the national election on September 24, gaining 6 million votes and 94 seats in the Bundestag (parliament). The vehemently anti-refugee, nativist party, never before represented in the Bundestag, has now become the party with the third-largest representation. The increasing terrorist threat will likely add to its momentum.

Experts predict more, and bigger, terrorist attacks in Germany. According to Thevessen, chemicals may be used in future attacks because chemicals have been readily available in Syria and Iraq.

“Authorities believe we may see big terrorist attacks in Europe within the next two years,” he said.

Munch, the director of the Federal German Police, warned that the threat goes well beyond Germany.

“This is not just a German national problem, it is a European one,” said Munch. “Terrorist threats in Germany are a potential threat to all of Europe.”

Protests have broken out in Paris as France’s justice minister prepares to set the country’s first legal age of sexual consent at just 13. Activists argue that the age of consent should be set at 15 as they waved placards that read ‘for him impunity, for her a life sentence’ in reference to a 30-year-old man recently being cleared of raping an 11-year-old.

Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet told French radio that the age of 13 was a ‘limit that is worth considering’ for the upcoming legislation.

But she noted that judges should also have the ability to assess whether someone was old enough to give consent in individual situations.

Prominent French feminist activist Caroline de Haas said: ‘We want the law to guarantee that before 15 there can be no concept of consent.’

‘I don’t know why (Belloubet) said it,’ added Alice Collet, a member of the National Collective for Women’s Rights. ‘It’s a sign of ignorance of the issues.’

It comes after French courts refused on two occasions recently to prosecute grown men for rape after they had sex with 11-year-olds because authorities couldn’t prove coercion.

It is already illegal in France to have sex with under 15s, but rape charges can only be brought if prosecutors can prove the act was non-consensual.

Amid public horror, the government is now drafting a bill to say sex with children under a certain age is by definition coercive.

Feminist groups plan a protest Tuesday to argue the age should be set at 15.

The age is just one piece of an upcoming bill on sexual violence and harassment. The bill has gained importance amid worldwide concern unleashed by the allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

‘The question of the age below which the minor’s consent is presumed not to exist is crucial, because there are obviously extremely shocking and unacceptable situations,’ Belloubet said.

One of her colleagues in the French government has said that a minimum age for sexual consent has not been set for the bill. Marlene Schiappa, a junior minister for gender equality, said Sunday that the cutoff could be between the ages of 13 and 15.

‘Below a certain age, it is considered that there can be no debate on the sexual consent of a child, and that any child below a certain age would automatically be considered to be raped or sexually assaulted,’ Schiappa said on BFM TV.

Two recent court cases have heightened the debate over who is old enough to consent to sex under French law.

A jury last week acquitted a 30-year-old man who was accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in 2009, French media reported. The jury in the Paris suburb region of Seine-et-Marne found that while there had been a sexual relationship between the girl and the man, it did not constitute rape according to the legal definition of the crime in France.

The girl’s parents reportedly found out about what had happened when their daughter became pregnant.

French media also have reported that the prosecutor’s office in the city of Pontoise near Paris decided in September that a 28-year-old man suspected of having sex with an 11-year-old girl should be tried for sexual abuse instead of rape because of how French law defines rape.

French law defines rape as any act of sexual penetration committed on others ‘by violence, coercion, threat or surprise.’ The definition does not distinguish between adults and minors for either the victims or perpetrators, although the potential criminal penalty is higher when victims are under 15.

A minimum age of sexual consent does not currently exist in French law. The law only says that an adult who performs a sexual act with a person under the age of 15 ‘without violence, coercion, threat or surprise’ can be prosecuted for ‘sexual abuse,’ not rape.

In both of the recent cases, investigators reportedly found that the sexual relationships did not involve surprise, threat, coercion or violence.

Sexual abuse without coercion is an offense punishable of a maximum sentence of five years in prison. A rape conviction carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years, or 20 years when the victim is under 15 years old.

Earlier Monday, French police said they have seen a rise in reports of sexual violence and harassment amid the growing global fallout from the accusations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

An official with the French national gendarme service said it had registered 30 percent more complaints this year so far than last year, notably in October. The official wasn’t authorized to be publicly named.

The gendarme service oversees security outside urban areas. Figures for cities weren’t immediately available, but the gendarme data come as French women are increasingly speaking out online about past sexual abuse following U.S. revelations.

Promoting The Hijab In NORWAY

Her name is Faten Mahdi Al-Hussaini. She’s twenty-two years old, she lives in Oslo, she wears a hijab, she’s praised the Ayatollah Khomeini and blamed Jews for all the world’s travails – and she’s the newest star on the state-owned, public-funded Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK).

In the run-up to the recent parliamentary elections, Faten was tapped to be the host for a four-episode TV series about the campaign. The show, aimed largely at young people, was called Faten Tar Valget. The title is a play on words: since valg can mean both “election” and choice,” the title can be translated both as “Faten Takes on the Election” and “Faten Makes the Decision.” The premise was that after talking to political experts and representatives of all the major political parties, she would figure out which of the parties she wanted to support. “Faten is a strong young voice in the Norwegian public square,” said NRK official Håkon Moslet. “She is unusually brave and has demonstrated the ability both to confront and to build bridges.”

Faten’s election series wasn’t her introduction to the limelight. She first made headlines three years ago, when, addressing a demonstration in Oslo, she served up a full-throated condemnation of ISIS. You might consider criticizing ISIS a no-brainer, but when it’s done by a hijab-clad girl in Norway she becomes a superstar – instant proof that European Muslims are overwhelmingly on the side of the angels. Alas, Faten’s debut on the media stage didn’t go off without a hitch: after her ISIS speech, people began looking into her background, and a few dicey details turned up. For one thing, she belonged to a Shia mosque whose Iranian-trained imams preach hatred of the West and support Tehran-backed terrorism. At a debate following the massacre of the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists in Paris, she’d expressed sympathy for them – kind of – but had also argued that they’d “paid the price for expressing themselves too coarsely.” That wasn’t all: on her Facebook page, she had called Khomeini “a legend” and had shared a friend’s suggestion that ISIS carry out its jihad in “Palestine” (i.e., Israel). Also, she had a record of open Jew-hatred.

But none of that, apparently, bothered the NRK bigwigs overmuch. They professed to be shocked when their decision to let Faten host a TV show – and in hijab, no less – caused a massive public backlash. The government-appointed Broadcasting Council, whose job it is to pass judgment on controversial actions by NRK, received thousands of complaints. Many of the complainants were Christians who pointed out that NRK had previously refused to let another on-camera host wear a tiny cross around her neck. But the Christians weren’t alone. Mahmoud Farahmand, a Conservative politician with a Muslim background, also complained. Farahmand, who as a child fled revolutionary Iran with his parents and who supports a hijab ban, charged (correctly) that the Norwegian media and government are always treating the most fanatically pious Muslims as representatives and spokespeople for their co-religionists. Another Iranian-Norwegian politician, the Progress Party’s Mazyar Keshvari, noted that Faten had been the director of Stand 4 Hussain, a group that supports brutal punishment of those who violate sharia law.

Even before the Broadcasting Council had ruled on Faten’s hijab, one of its members, writer Elin Ørjasæter, a prominent critic of Islam, quit in protest against NRK’s public response to Faten’s critics, whom the network represented as bigots. NRK’s head honcho, Thor Gjermund Eriksen, called those critics “dark forces in society.” In any event, the council eventually gave a thumbs-up to NRK’s decision to allow Faten’s hijab. Her TV series went forward, and it garnered predictably glowing reviews from Norway’s mainstream media. Dismissing the fuss over her hijab as a silly distraction, the country’s largest newspaper, VG, called the show “useful” and “honest.” At the end of the series, Faten announced which political party she’d decided to back. Surprise! She went with Labor, for which NRK is basically a mouthpiece. (Many Norwegians whimsically refer to NRK as ARK, an acronym for “Labor Party Broadcasting Corporation.”)

Did NRK have any second thoughts about putting Faten on TV? Perish the thought. She’s their new star. On November 11, the network aired a half-hour documentary all about her and hijab. The cutesy, rhyming title – Faten Tar Praten – could loosely be translated as “Faten Discusses It.” The show consisted largely of chummy chitchats on Oslo sidewalks with other young Muslim women who wear hijab. Most of them made light of the garment, suggesting that it doesn’t hold any heavy meaning for them – it’s just something that’s become a habit, something that makes them feel comfortable. To be sure, there were (to NRK’s credit) moments of honesty about “honor culture.” One young woman who sometimes removes her hijab in public – and who refused to be shown on camera – admitted that if her parents knew she was living this “double life” they would take her out of school, “dump” her in their homeland, and no longer consider her their daughter. Faten herself admitted that she wouldn’t be welcome in some social circles if she took off her hijab. But she was clearly not interested in examining that fact too closely.

Her most substantial encounter was with yet another Iranian-born Norwegian – Æsæl Manouchehri, the female, non-hijab-wearing secretary-general of an Oslo-based organization whose name translates as Equality Integration Diversity. Interviewed in her home, Æsæl pointed out that in Iran women can be “stoned, killed, butchered, and whipped because a few strands of their hair are showing.” When Faten asserted that most women wear hijab out of personal choice, Æsæl firmly disagreed: “In Iran, they’re all forced [to wear hijab], and there are 80 million people there.” Faten was visibly uneasy about the whole exchange. When Æsæl pointed out that being criticized for wearing hijab in Norway hardly makes Faten a victim on the same scale as Iranian women who are executed for not wearing it, Faten agreed – but her agreement seemed halfhearted. She asked Æsæl: if Iran forced women not to wear hijab, would she fight that, too? Absolutely, Æsæl replied.

After the interview, Faten told the camera: “I have found out that hijab can definitely be used to oppress women.” (She’d just now found that out?) But she quickly added that not all women who wear hijab are being forced to do so. Indeed, the message NRK plainly wanted to convey at the end of this program was that hijab doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with politics or family compulsion or female subjugation. Yes, being forced to wear a hijab is bad, but being forced not to wear one would be equally bad. What the hijab itself signifies depends upon the wearer. In short, NRK (a network funded entirely by hefty license fees squeezed out of any already heavily taxed population) was obviously determined to normalize – to Norwegianize – the hijab. And this documentary was just one brief, fleeting portion of a long-term campaign of dhimmi propaganda by the official European media, which seek to put a pretty, innocent-looking face on the very ugliest and most malignant aspects of Islam.
